On-Site Nurse-Led Services

Health Management has considerable experience of providing on site nurse led services to a wide ranging selection of customers including central government organisations, police forces and industrial businesses.

Each service is tailored to the client’s specific requirements. The services range from an Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) contracted to be on site for one day a week through to a whole team present on a daily basis, and the actual responsibilities vary within each client, but may include;

  • Undertake case management of referrals, triaging to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) when appropriate
  • Provide management with advice and guidance on a range of occupational health issues
  • Employment and placement health screening
  • Assist in the development and review of policies and protocols with the CMO and other appropriate stakeholders to ensure effectiveness, best practice and legal compliance
  • Involvement with clinical governance audits to ensure clinical standards are maintained
  • Undertaking heath surveillance programmes in line with legislative requirements
  • Conducting workstation assessments for staff members
  • Liaise with other services to ensure seamless referral pathways
  • Actively promoting health and wellbeing throughout the organisation
  • Maintain records and confidentiality to the high standards set by the governing bodies

The consistency of our clinical team is an important element of our service. We put a significant amount of effort and thought into supporting our on-site staff, as well as our Head Office team, as we recognise that 'remote' staff can easily feel excluded and not part of the Health Management family.

Our on-site teams are therefore fully supported by both the clinical teams (the CMO and the Nurse Team Leaders), as well as the Operations and Contract Management teams to ensure any planned absences, possible concerns, training and development needs are addressed so as not to impact on the organisation.
